Get any books for Christmas?

Post by Tall Tyrion on Mon Dec 29, 2008 12:50 am

I got Stephen King's latest collection, Just After Sunset and The Shack by Wm. Paul Young.

Anyone else get something nice and scary in their stocking?

Only from the mailman. I got Dead Lines, The Light At The End, and The Bridge, all by John Skipp and Craig Spector. Got those from PaperbackSwap.com. I also got Your Heart Belongs To Me, by Dean Koontz, and Opening Atlantis and The United States of Atlantis, by Harry Turtledove.

Reading Opening Atlantis now...

Dean Koontz's The Taking. I've been reading it to my husband at night with a flashlight. (Our light's out, and besides that, we're children.) I swiped my dad's "Public Enemies" and found out that Clyde crashed the car and accidently set Bonnie on fire. Also, my contributer's copy of Neverlands and Otherwheres came, and I was all excited. My first anthology, woo!

I got tokens. There's something nice about tokens - guilt free book buying where with cash there's always the thought you should spend on something, or someone, else...

I have a vision impairment, so I can't read novels (or magazines or comics or remote controls or facial expressions). lol. No, it's true.
