There's a certain inevitability that the 'road' would catch up with the protagonist, but it was an enjoyable road, I think, just the same.

This one may have been my favorite. I thought the writing was beyond impressive, and the story hit me in a way I wasn't expecting...and I like that. I'm a huge fan of Ms. DeMeester's after reading this one. Loved it.

Definitely a great tale. Great use of language and atmosphere on this one.
