kids and what they say

Post by shadowflame1974 on Fri Apr 26, 2013 3:52 pm

Many of us have kids and know they same some very outlandish things, but some of these take the cake.
Creepy, horrifying and just plain hilarious!

Ooo thanks Shadow. It's 4AM and I can't sleep. Now I really can't sleep.

I died a little, laughing. And then there was less laughing. Then stone-cold silence.

I hope their therapists are on speed dial.

I especially loved 'Death is the poor man's doctor'. That one's been with me all night searching for a story.

The ones about past lives are creeping me out.

This one:

Getting my two and a half year old daughter out of the bath one night, my wife and I were briefing her on how important it was she kept her privates clean. She casually replied "Oh, nobody 'scroofs' me there. They tried one night. They kicked the door in and tried but I fought back. I died and now I'm here." She said this like it was nothing.

And this one:

When I was a little girl I lost my shit when I saw some guy at the grocery store, it was unusual because I was generally quiet and well behaved. I never had to be taken out of somewhere for misbehaving, but we had to leave the store. When my mom asked what was wrong when we got in the car, I told her he took me away from my first mom and hid me under his floor and made me sleep for a long time until I woke up with my new mom. I then refused to sit in the seat of the car on the ride home, but insisted on cowering under the dash board so he couldn't take me again.

O_O

And the dark man in the corner ones. I had a similar experience some years back that is as vivid as the night it happened. I wrote about it, had it published, researched it for similar things, and this is the first time I've read other experiences that seemed close. Gave me the goosebumps all over again.

This is rather tame compared to the rest, but it's an original:

"This one guy drank too much diet soda and he got drunk. And he was driving and crashed and was thrown into a field. His teeth got bloody and he might have even gotten a black eye!" - Chloe, age 6.

(For context, she's convinced "Don't drink and drive" refers to any liquid refreshment).

Very Happy

I don't remember the boys saying anything like that when they were little. although my youngest still yells about 2 hours after he falls asleep.

I was an adult when I did this, but I am a notorious sleep walker/talker when I'm overly stressed. My husband tells me one night he heard me mumbling something about God's blood, God's blood over and over again. He tells me that he told me to go back to sleep, and at that point, I sat straight up, looked him dead in the eye and said "Dads are lamb slaughterers," and then got up and left the room. He was so freaked out that he just let me go. lol

Those are all so wonderfully creepy.

No children, but I did have a roommate in college who would occasionally yell, swear, scream, and even once gave a sort of (mostly incoherent) sermon in her sleep. The last was probably the creepiest.

Okay, if we're telling stories, mine was the middle of the night, a trip to the bathroom, then back upstairs. Conan was on and I lit a Misty 120, then immediately couldn't move head to toe as if paralyzed. My only thought was that I had to put the cigarette in the ashtray or I would burn the bed up. I struggled and got it into the ashtray, and that was it. I was sitting up, so the only thing I moved was my arm which was reaching in that direction anyway. In front of me I could see the blue light of the TV, but not the show, and oddly enough I seemed to be able to see through the bed. The dog was on the floor at the foot of the bed, and every time I tried to call out to wake him beside me, the dog would whine. She was facing toward the window, her hair standing on end, so I turned my attention in that direction, (I say attention because it was like a mental eye that was able to move and see through everything.) and I could see through the wood cabinet beside me into the corner where a male force stood in shadow. I knew this, though I couldn't see it, only the sense of a shape, and the sense that it was holding me powerless, which made me angry. I began to struggle again, lifting a finger as I tried to reach out to my other half to wake him. And I was making a little whine as I tried to call him. Suddenly, I was released and my arm flew out and hit him as I screamed his name. He jumped clear off the bed from a sound sleep. I yelled that it was on the stairs. He went to the head and looked down but there was nothing. "Must have been here for you," he said. So I got up and started down the stairs and walked right into something, I couldn't see what, but it was so strong, so intense that tears sprang right out of my eyes.

At this point I went back up the stairs and sat down again on the edge of the bed to catch my breath. That's when I noticed that in was light out, and that my cigarette had burned entirely down, which should take at least 20 minutes if it's just sitting in the ashtray. I'm not sure how much time had passed, maybe a few hours that seemed like minutes, but I am sure it wasn't a dream, and the thing I walked into on the stairs was my own proof.
