The value of recommendations ...

Post by pat_h on Thu Apr 25, 2013 9:06 pm

... I just wanted to let you know that it was Jack Ketchum's recommendation that led me to purchase every issue that you have put out so far. I've made it through Issue #1 and I'm loving what I'm reading.

Awesome and thank you!

We are very proud to count him amongst our fans.

Let us know what you think of the issues!

Because of Shock Totem, I picked up Ketchum & McKee's "I'm Not Sam." It was... disturbing. Smile

You should start at the beginning with Off Season. =)

It's cracking me up that the default picture it assigned me is Patrick Swayze. I loved Patrick Swayze, but I'm actually female. LOL I've read my way through editions 1 and 2, so far. I'm already looking forward to reading all that you publish in the future. You guys/girls are digging up some serious gold in these stories.

You can change your profile pic, so you are no longer relegated to the zone of androgynous. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Nothing wrong with that at all.

We're all defaulted to Crazy for Swayze! I loved it when we'd get an influx of fresh blood and have ten Swayzes running around. It's sorta my dream. Wink

Seriously! Though I feel like the only woman in the world who hasn't watched Dirty Dancing. I keep meaning to, someday.

Dirty Dancing was the first movie I watched after leaving a very strict religion. I was 11 and at a slumber party. I distinctly remember thinking I was going to hell for watching a movie with a woman in her bra. Lol!!

I thought I was going to go to hell because I wanted to be the one doing the dirty dancing with Swayze.

Oh, Mercedes, you seriously want to watch Dirty Dancing. It is so sweet, and so innocent and so cool. "Nobody puts baby in a corner." is one of my favorite lines of all time in a movie, second only to "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." And it's actually not my usual taste in a movie that I would watch, but it's an exception. It's just sort of in a class by itself, in my opinion.

I mean, Dirty Dancing is a classic and all... but if you want real majesty it's gotta be the ANGRY DANCING scene in Footloose.

So angry... so dancey, so... so... 80's.

Footloose is so much better than DD (boob joke, lol)

Roadhouse is the Swayze movie to watch - kick ass nonsense
