Asperger's and Mass Murder...

We've all been shocked by the horrific tragdey of last friday...and now as I see reporters tossing around the term Aspergers...my heart quickens.

My youngest son, Udo has severe Aspergers, he's also the sweetest boy you could ever meet.

I'm on another forum where this topic has hit twenty or so pages, but so far no one's made any connection between Asperger's and violence. And any article I've seen on the subject just has experts specifically denying any link between the two.

Honestly, I think anyone who legitimately tried to make the case for Asperger's as a cause would get buried under enough backlash to sink the eastern seaboard.

I know...yet in this nation of idiots and spoon-fed "what the reporters say is fact" folks...

It was initially enough to make me worry.

Yeah, I don't blame you. I get worried about some of the news that circulates, and I don't have a kid to worry about.

But I think - in this case, at least - the experts moved quickly enough to stamp out that bullshit before it got a foothold.
