"Game-changer"? Or just a skilled participant in the same old handful of games?

*ears in fingers* LALALALA!!! I'm not listening to you!

I hear that this is awesome, but only if you know nothing about it going in. I'm looking forward to it, but I only rarely do theaters.

Just saw this. HOLY SHIT WAS IT GOOD.

Actually, great. This movie is great.

In fact, for me, since this is the kind of thing that I write, I think this might be that one story that I 'chase' for the rest of my life trying to measure up.

Yeah, I liked it that much. Highly recommended.

I watched this at Ryan's house this weekend with him.. which made it all the more epic! headbang

John watched the first part, but we were all too tired to finish it Sunday night, so we finished it Monday afternoon. HOLY SMOKE, what a great movie this it! Two thumbs up from me. Twisted Evil

This one threw me for a loop as well. I highly recommend it. Waiting to be impressed like this again. It happens more rarely these days.

I remember seeing it in the theatre, mostly with "what the fuck?" running through my head. At the same time, it held onto its own interior logic as a comment on why we are obsessed with this form of violence and what it says about us. I very much approve.

I really enjoyed it. I loved how it subverted the horror genre while paying homage to it.

My wife didn't "get" it. I found myself laughing at lots of parts she didn't think were funny. I think you have to be a real horror fan to appreciate the movie. A casual or once-in-awhile horror viewer is probably not the right audience.

To me this can be summed up by saying trying to be clever is not the same as being clever.

And you haven't come back yet to tell us what you thought?

This movie came up in a conversation during the WHC weekend in NOLA, and we all thought it was well done. One of the best horror movies to come out in a long time.

It's clever and fun.

It is not amazing or "Jesus H Christ My Head May Well Explode!?" brilliant...but cool.

The premise and "twists" are neat.

If they could have done that without the pretty hollywood money sheen, I'd have dug it more.

But I enjoyed it.

NOW watch EXCISION.

I'm watching THE RAVEN right now, which sucks. And then Cabin in the Woods. I always intend to watch, and then I wander away.

Yeah, THE RAVEN was lame...and I love John Cusack.

I have it going while I'm working on other things. I can't imagine trying to engage myself with it fully. I'd die.

Finally watched Cabin in the Woods (6 months later). Of course I knew all about it by this point, so it wasn't a surprise, but I still enjoyed it.

I rewatched it not long ago, really wanting to like it more. I mean, it's not terrible, but it just leaves me feeling a bit flat.
