It takes a lot to pull me into a period piece. I tune out automatically.

I'm not a fan of them either...but I tune in for the bustiered women with the heaving and bountiful cleavage.

Which doesn't have the same appeal to me. And codpieces aren't my thing, either.

The Slit-Mouthed Woman looks awesome. Right up my hubby's alley. Gonna have to let him know about this one. Japanese horror seems to be truly frightening...not like a lot of Hollywood horror that's out now.

Thanks for sharing the clip, Mercedes.

You're so welcome, Sass! I really dig Japanese horror for just that same reason.

But be forewarned: You want "Carved: The Slit-Mouthed Woman" and not "The Slit-Mouthed Woman", which seems to be a terrible pink film. I made that discovery when I searched for the wrong name. My eyes! My tender, tender eyes!

Do I wanna know what a "Terrible Pink" film is? Porn, isn't it?!

I really need to see CARVED. I've had a copy forever, sitting here beside the computer in my stack o' unwatched movies, and just can't seem to find time to sit down and watch it . . . .

Watch it! Watch it, James! I still haven't watched it, either. We can discuss it afterwards.

Funny that I found the time to watch SKINWALKERS based on Hillerman's novel, but not CARVED yet. Then again, I watch things based on what my children can walk into the room and not be traumatized by. Lots of My Little Pony, here. Razz

Yeah, based on the trailer, I'd say the Slit-Faced Woman is something that could easily traumatize children. Hell, she disturbs *me*.

We never have stuff like that near us...but it''s availible ON DEMAND for $9.99 so maybe on my day off, I'll treat myself.

Rutger Hauer is the man.

I want to see Hobo, too. It was filmed in my home province so that just makes it added incentive. Smile
