I love this story.

Something so malevolent out of something so innocuous. I'm still getting through the issue #3 but this one in particular sticks with me. It snowed in San Antonio overnight (a little) and while my kids played outside this morning I could only think of 'Drift' with a smile. One of my daughters came in with two mittens full of snow and the look of horror on her face when I told her about snow bugs made me take it back immediately.

A fantastic and fresh, new monster Ms. Davis has created!

A very good tale indeed.

And I highly encourage telling all kids about snow bugs! Haha.

I must say... This is my favorite out of this issue. It might be my favorite ST story ever, so far.

And I "discovered" it. How cool am I?

Oddly enough, there used to be a snowbug on this forum.

She's in Northamptonshire and happily living with the love of her life. She's collecting reptiles and spiders. But she's not writing any more, which is unfortunate.

Yeah, I know she got engaged and started buying all those critters, but then she just disappeared. Looks like the last time she was around was in July of 2009.

Too bad she's not writing. She had a great imagination.

"Drift" was absolutely beautiful while being stark. I loved it the first time that I read it.

I was five or six the first time I saw snow. I grew up in central Florida and it was quite a novelty for the Sunshine State. I remember plunging my hands into the white powder and immediately feeling a burning, aching sensation that I could hardly stand. Now I know why. Thanks, Amanda.

Good story. Nameless fear through a kids' eye is sometimes tricky, and little kids can come off whiney, but this one was good. Creepy.

Hahaha. Was able to snag issue #3 on my granddaughter's kindle and this story was one of two I've managed to read since. (She never lets me play with it!) Awesome story Amanda. I tried reading it to her at bedtime, but not far in she gave me one of those horrified looks, like 'No! Not snow, too.' lol.
