Happy new year to you all! I am currently drinking a white Russian whilst waiting for some old friends to get here. Our plan for the evening is to eat, drink, converse and watch movies. Should be a good night!

Our original holiday plans were scrapped and have been replaced by Chinese, childhood video games, and Las Vegas fireworks. I dare say the new plans are more to my liking than the old ones!

Enjoy, everybody. Thanks for being so cool and making the forum such an awesome place to be.

Hopefully my muse won't be hung over. I'll be needing her for the new flash fiction contest starting tomorrow. unsure

Yes! A new decade. The decade everyone said started last year. Annoyed the piss out of me. Haha.

That's true, that is. And I even told them they were celebrating the millennium a year early. But did they listen? No, they didn't. It's a problem, they have, not listening.

Oh, no one listened. They argued with me, saying I was wrong. Even when I laid it out real simple, by telling them there was no year 0, they still disagreed. How the hell could they acknowledge that, and then still disagree? Baffling.

Stupidity knows no bounds, man. Even in such a small way, people are unwilling to admit that they're wrong. As if being wrong about something as silly as it being a new decade (which it is now) marks them dumb forever.

Or maybe this is why they argued:

Even when I laid it out real simple,

I'd argue with you, too, just for kicks. You make it easy, Ken. Twisted Evil

The one and only reason? Because it's fun getting you all worked up about something that doesn't matter for anything.

I don't think. I think these people truly believed they were right. Usually when someone is trying to get a rise out of you, there's no real conviction in what they're saying. But these people were getting hot, you know. Angry.

It was just strange.

Oh. Haha. Well, some people online seem to think I get riled up easily. Thought you were one of them. Laughing
