Mercedes, how is the anti-migraine diet working out?

It worked wonderfully for the first week and a half, but then I was hit by some major stress and blew it. It was easier to order a pizza and have dinner done (plus the kids will eat it) than make everything from scratch. But it seemed to do wonders! I didn't have a migraine the entire time that I was on it, and when I went off, I had three in quick succession. But I also know that stress is probably the most major of my triggers, so whether it was the diet or the stress that caused it, I don't know.

But I'm back on the migraine diet because even though I was only on it for about 10 days or so, my whole body just felt much less blah.

And I got smacked with a migraine last night. I was sitting in my living room reading when the chaos lights decided to visit. This time, they were in my right eye, which is weird. They've always been in the left before. And they were in a different pattern, but damn if I can describe it other than weird. I was out of Excedrin Migraine, so I had a big cup of coffee and took some Aleve.

I had to work last night and it was too late to find a sub, so I managed to get through my show, smiling on the outside, icky hurt on the in, and was running a low-grade fever by the time I got home. The pain is gone now, but I have that rough, ragged post-migraine feeling.

Sad

I don't get 'em myself (sympathies to those of you who do), but my ex once suggested I might be a carrier.

Hmmm...my wife has called me a pain in the ass many times, but never a pain in the head. scratch
