Isn't it? I thought it was totally fantastic. So short and so bitter. Delightful.

See we read these all so long ago. when i got my copy of the issue earlier in the week and re-read them...they were all like ghoulish little surprises. It had been so long I had forgotten how good they were.

You guys are lucky. I have to read them so many times, they sort of lose their luster after so many reads in such a short period of time. It takes a good while after for me to forget them, then truly enjoy them again.
As for this particular story, I still think the video is Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up." Haha. WORST. RICKROLL. EVER!

It's also an example of Euphiction, which I didn't know too much about before we got ahold of it. Pretty cool!

It's okay if you didn't know much about it. We had created it over the last year, mostly for COVER STORIES, which is a euphictional anthology. All the stories in the book were inspired by music. My ten stories, plus "Leave Me the Way I was Found", was inspired by the Walkmen's You & Me album. It was a fun project and got me some stories I'm really proud of.
