Re: Praise/Criticism of Issue #2

Post by Kenwood on Sat Aug 21, 2010 8:20 pm

I'm not sure if the stories in issue #2 represent some new subculture of storytelling. I do understand wanting a beginning, middle and end, but I think issue #2 is just a representation of the best stories--or our most-liked stories--that came down the chute during our reading for the issue.

Issue #2, I think, is very different from issue #1. That may also throw readers off a bit, especially if they're expecting something similar.

Did you confuse Shiney with Kurt? You're more than welcome to discuss anything someone posts here.

That was Kurt who posed the questions.

I just chimed in with my thoughts. Long, short, micro or flash....If I read it and dig it...I dig it.

Simple as that. Sometimes I want complete closure...sometimes I like open ended vagueness.

I agree with Merrilee, I think it may just be a matter of taste.

Hopefully they stay that way. We didn't get any negative reviews for issue #1. We'll see. Someone will crash the party someday. Haha.

I noticed it first! Razz

Apparently, misspelling Vincent's last name is easy to do, but we aim to beat down anyone who tries it. batter

In the review? Pffft! I sent Sarah (the reviewer) a message as soon as I read the review. The mistake jumped out and smacked me in the face! Can't miss it now.

I'm about halfway through and I like it so far. Definitely a different feel than the first issue, which is great. Though, my girlfriend's new cat just vomited and it got a bit of splash damage. I may have to buy another one, so good news for you guys.

Thanks! =) Cats vomiting on us has to be good luck, right?

And yeah, it definitely has a different vibe from issue #1. I think issue #3 will also have a different vibe.

Long time, no chat!

Felt compelled to stop by and praise #2 (sounds filthy, typing it that way!).

I'm about half way through and it's a fantastic read. Great job guys.

Eyesore and Tall T - You multi-talented guys never cease to amaze me.

Someday I hope to get back around here on a more regular basis. I don't frequent any of my favorite haunts like I used to. I'm a douche.

Later!
