New Stryper album

Post by Tall Tyrion on Thu Jul 08, 2010 10:44 pm

I've always been a big Stryper fan, at least up until Reborn and whatever the last album was called. I won't go into why, but I never expected to buy another album until they announced the new covers album. Samples are up and they sound killer!

They broke up about 92 or 93 I think because Mike Sweet left the band. They offered the singing spot to Dale Thompson (which would have been killer) but he turned them down so they hung it up. They did a "comeback" tour in 2004 (I think) that I attended in ABQ. GREAT show, and they released a live cd of it. Then they did two more albums that I have no interest in for reasons it's probably best not to go into. The samples of this one have revived my interest.

Here ya go John:

Covers:

"Breaking The Law" - Judas Priest
"The Trooper" - Iron Maiden
"Blackout" - Scorpions
"Over The Mountain" - Ozzy
"Set Me Free" - Sweet
"On Fire" - Van Halen
"Highway Star" - Deep Purple
"Heaven and Hell" - Black Sabbath
"Lights Out" - UFO
"Immigrant Song - Led Zep
"Carry On Wayward Son - Kansas
"Shout It Out Loud" - KISS

New original song:
“God”
