High Profile Crime Exhibit

Post by Mercedes on Thu Mar 04, 2010 9:14 pm

Ah snap, it's ticking people off! Anyway, this is what I went to today. It was sobering and AWESOME. I didn't feel that it was there simply for sensationalism. I felt that they took cases that people were familiar with and used them to show how horrifying murder really is. I definitely walked out of there with all of the glitzy serial killer sheen stripped away.

Wow. It's good you walked out with the sheen stripped away. I can see those people's points though. Most of them are just pissed at the cops.

I totally get that. And I don't expect them to actually walk through the exhibit, but I think that if they DID walk through, they'd come out with a different opinion. It sounds like it's going to be one thing, but it's really another. It's like going through the Anne Frank house or the Holocaust museum. Gory and sad, but there really is something to be learned there. Sometimes being confronted with something makes you stand up and take notice.

Anyway, I'm going to do a blog post on it soon.

Neat. Good points too. The family was probably pissed because to them it felt like reliving it. But I can see where other people walking through there would come out different than they went in.

Cool. I'll read your blog when you post it.

I can understand the families' sentiments, but I would go see this if I could.
