First snow of the year...

Post by Tall Tyrion on Mon Nov 30, 2009 3:03 pm

Techinaclly, it was yesterday, but it started up this morning again and
started to stick, then quit and melted again. Now we're getting these
huge clumps falling that are about an inch to inch and a half. Snow
rocks!

I love the first snow of the year (which we in my part of Michigan have yet to get). It’s always so pretty! But then it should just go away and jump right to spring.

I could live in a perpetual land of ice and snow. Finland rocked. Vegas? Not so much.

Oh I love the look of it, just hate driving in it. My drive to and from work is long and pain in the ass enough without the fluffy white stuff.

My company just moved. I used to do 20 to 30 minutes on back roads. Now I drive an hour on the highway. Not looking forward to driving in the snow on the highway. Too many potential murderers.

I drive an hour to work...I hate the fact that it's long and boring and tires me out...But I like that I get an hour each way of uninteruppted music listening in daily....

I've been learning Polish during my drive to work. It's oddly theraputic swearing at someone in Polish when they cut you up.

It's raining, here.

A bit of snow would be nice, but it's always raining, here.

I just wish people here knew how to drive in the snow. A light dusting and people are in the ditch.

One of my earliest memories of my time in Arkansas was an image on the front of the daily newspaper the day after a light snowstorm. It showed an intersection in downtown Little Rock, and there were 13 cars involved in some sort of accident, group and individual efforts. Haha. It was so frightening!

I love snow as well. TallT - I think we had that same system. Wed. morning at Midnight we were up at the Station and these huge gorgeous flakes were slowly falling down. No wind, just a perfect snowfall. It looked staged, it was so perfect. I called my wife (who loves her sleep) and she was glad I did.

I'm made up of snow, lavender, and knife-edge trash talk. Life is pretty sweet sometimes. Razz

It did! It was so cool looking, even though it didn't last long. I've never seen snow flakes that huge.
