Curse of the Zodiac

Post by Tall Tyrion on Sun Nov 08, 2009 11:33 pm

This is quite possible the worst movie ever made. I can't believe I paid $4.99 + tax to rent this dreck. Terrible acting, terrible dialogue, terrible camerawork... this is TERRIBLE!!

Please... for the love of God, do not watch this movie. I could only stomach a half-hour of it.

Wow! Sounds like you aren't kidding! One star reviews on Netflix. Bummer, too, because I can always do with a snuggly blanket, a cup of hot cocoa, and a serial killer movie.

There was a movie that came out a few years back with Robert Downey Jr
in it (I think). That was the one I thought I was getting. That'll
teach me to read more carefully.

That was David Fincher (FIGHT CLUB, SE7EN) who directed "ZODIAC" with Downey Jr. Gyllenhal....and it's pretty good....

TT, you're the KING of getting the wrong movies! Dark/Black Water, Zodiac/Curse of the Zodiac. Of course, they all sound the same.

I want to see Zodiac.

ZODIAC is pretty subtle...it concerns moreso the story of one man's obsession with the case and how he tries to get media members and the police to work with his findings...vrey dark but well done...DOWNEY is flawless as always!!

Tell me about it... you'd think I would check them more carefully.

I had some people recommend the best of the Masters of Horror series
and I wrote them down and put them in my wallet.... but of course my
local video store had none of those titles.

That was one of the titles on my list.

Also: Pick Me Up, Incident On and Off a Mountain Road, Imprint and Family.

IMPRINT is wild.....
INCIDENT is okay...but vrey formulaic...
FAMILY was dumb, I thought...
PICK ME UP was okay...alot of them had potential to be asskickingly good, had their vision been relaized.

TT, have you looked into Netflix? I think it would save you some money PLUS you can check the reviews before you pick your movie. Or there are a lot of different movie places that do the same thing.

Oh we have Netflix, but it's all chick flicks and sports movies. I'm not allowed near the queue.

Man! It SUCKS to be you! I get my stuff during the week, and it's family movies during the weekends. Like Ghost Hunters. I'm wild about Ghost Hunters and my husband won't have anything to do with it. So it's "The Serial Killers", "xxxHolic", and "Audrey Rose" when it's just me.
