I've tried giving it a go myself. Please add me, follow me, whatever the kids are calling it these days?

I promise I'll say something interesting once in a while:

I've got an ongoing story started on my blog; May I present Our Party, Chapter One: Our Healer Sucks, the first installment in an ongoing epic that went horribly wrong: http://wp.me/pzE5F-6t

"...another double fruitcake of 20,000 hits, made with 268 posts too, not bad going for an anonymous dyslexic on a quiet forum now..." went the goblin banned from yet another writer's forum yesterday, adding "...no, I would actually accept their argument of how one should be writing on this forumland if one of them had some sort of hitcount that proves their case, where instead they seem to rest on the laurels of that declining book readership, meaning what then, meaning that when someone comes on a forum ready to read their offerings and to converse with them too, they are all elsewhere, in their blogs perhaps, or in those ebooks then, anyway linked away now, whereas me, for all my faults, at least I'm always in my posts where these thread becomes a shared stage between us..."

Hi everyone,

My brother Ed and I started a blog a few months back. You can check it out at http://tireswingdreaming.blogspot.com/

We talk about writing and art.

At the moment, you can see Ed (known as SkeletonKey Ed on the Shock Totem forum) blogging about a 30-day art challenge: trying to complete 30 paintings in 30 days.

Okay here's mine. I just started it and it's not related to writing but my little home based business. I'm a handyman.
Long story short I lost a very good job when everything went to shit. After eighteen months found a job, not a good one, and got fired this past May for defending myself when a co-worker physically assaulted me. Made the decision then to tap into my skills and work for myself. I plan to submit many of the posts to DIY magazines as articles.

Since I'm a new member I'm not allowed to post external links for seven days so you'll have to copy and paste.

hndymnatlarge.blogspot.com

Would appreciate any feedback you want to offer as this is the first place I've posted a link for it.

"I'm sorry, HAL. I'm afraid I can't do that." Razz

Looks good! Sorry to hear about your job situation, but congrats on the initiative. The editor in me feels compelled to point these out:

"And no the wife’s butter knives do not count as screwdrivers." It might be debatable, but I would put a comma after "no".

"Maintaining a dedicated home tool kit can save the you frustration and time when faced with minor repairs." Simple transposition.

Other than that, it looks good to me!

I'm waiting to see how many people catch the HAL part. Let's see, that's one.

Only two mistakes? I must be getting better at this writing thing. I'm ashamed about the comma though. I'm friends with an English professor who has been working with me on my punctuation. I better go edit a post. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it.

I've actually got a couple. If anyone here is following my Our Party story, the third chapter (The Berserker Goes Shopping) is here: http://ladykuro.wordpress.com/2011/10/18/the-berserker-goes-shopping/
The fourth chapter (The Healer Saves the Day) is up here: http://ladykuro.wordpress.com/2011/11/12/the-healer-saves-the-day/

And then I have some journal porn (all journals handmade by yours truly): http://ladykuro.wordpress.com/2011/11/18/journals/

Handmade journals! *drool*

You know, I've never thought of making my own. They're gorgeous, Kuro. The wood is especially eye-catching.

well done Andrew and Ed for finally taking the plunge I wish you well, it will be tough at times but you will not regret it I'm guessing, and then you go and ruin it all by starting a blog, not that I have read it of course...a repost then to get you back to lateral thinking then...oh and p.s. don't worry about mistakes, you can get an editor for that, they are ten a penny

"...I have lots to do, but I just can't be arsed..." bemoans Jats having a cuppa instead "...so I'll put a few things off, do such and such tomorrow, and this and that next week then, the curse of being my own boss I suppose, go chop some wood instead, in a bit, before it's dark..." as Jats mind wanders wondering if Vampires suffer permanently from SAD's for two hours, along with other random stuff "...that's better, all done, I do love simply chopping wood, it's very therapeutic, so, as a result here's a little bit of truth in the middle of all these fantastic random trivias, consider doing what you like for a living, and do that then..." the chameleon chuckles mischievously seeing as he stole the idea anyway "...oh and cheap labour..." laughs Jats again bringing in the basket full of fresh kindling now, the boys following with armfuls of logs, smiling, already looking forward to the treats promised out of the profit, naturally

Realized I haven't posted here in a while. There are two more chapters of Our Party out.

Chapter 5: Treasure of the Worst Kind
Chapter 6: The Coffee of Macho

Also, please don't taunt the groundhog!
