The music is heavy for my taste, but it's good stuff Smile

I don't think it's all that heavy, but maybe it is. I don't know a whole lot about them, but they're sorta cool. I have a friend who LOVES them. They have a ton of albums. I think it's a bunch of dudes in drag.

It's called "visual kei." I love the look, but prefer a different sound. My taste is original Guns N' Roses, Twisted Sister, Meat Loaf etc. I stopped being moved by new(er) music in college, then earlier this year when I stumbled across Kishidan. I'm in my thirties, and I feel as giddy as a high school girl Wink

PS: If your friend lives in the states, I feel his/her pain. Japanese CDs/DVDs are expensive. The album I have my eye on now costs almost sixty. Granted, that's twice as much as normal, but FUCK Shocked

my knowledge of japanese music is sadly limited to the following two bands: EZO, DEAD END....I know some songs by a bunch of 80's Japanese metal bands, but not alot...that stuff is too pricey to obtain.

MALICE MIZER is wicked cool....
Natalie's pick is interesting...killer pompadour.

Here's a Korean band:

WEEPER - AM I WRONG

That song is terrible, but it's always made me laugh. =)
