Behind you on this one, Merc. I'm a firm believer in what goes around, comes around. I just wish that sometimes I could speed the process up.

Agreed.

Tee hee hee!

Sharks rock SO HARD. So I found out that you can dive in the Mandalay Bay shark tank here, right? It's uber expensive, but my husband and I were planning to go to South Africa for our anniversary next year and cage dive with Great Whites. I thought this would be cheaper than that, but noooooo, he's totally set on South Africa. To which I say, ROCK ON!!!

Is anybody here scuba certified?

Not me...I'm afraid to be underwater....and ontop of the water...pretty much anything involving water that is deeper than mid thigh..I want no part of.

I'm from the desert. We drink it and fish in it, we don't swim in it.

I'm from the desert, too. That's why I run screaming to any large body of water as often as possible.

I grew up down the street from a beach. Every summer I lived in my mask, snorkel, and fins. I came perilously close to growing gills.

Fun fact; my nickname within the family is 'Sharky'. I think I used to bite a lot when I was really small.

Dear Guy at the Salon,

Thank you so much for spazzing out when you cut me in the vicinity of my eye with a sharp pair of scissors today. I'll admit that I was disconcerted by sudden blinding pain and blood that immediately coursed into my vision, but your cries of, "Oh, I can't stand the sight of blood!" and "I cut her, she's bleeding, oh, I hope that I didn't get her EYE!" calmed me right down. It's nice to know that my petty fear of blindness could be assuaged by your hands fluttering to your chest as you assure me that head wounds tend to bleed a lot...although you thought this might be a bit excessive. Although I A) didn't stop bleeding for 15 minutes and B) have a tendency to scar, I was comforted by the fact that you took a whole dollar off of my bill. That was swell.

Yours,

Me

PS. Your graphic novel idea is hideously cliched and nobody is ever going to buy it.

They CHARGED you after that?

That's someplace I'd never go again. Glad you're OK, though. It could have been much worse, obviously.

Thank you for taking your pain and fear, and converting it to hilarity. Just think about how much crazier the story could've been if he actually got the eye! You could've received a free Pirate License, taken it as a go ahead to start hanging people from trees and stabbing them with pointy sticks, hidden a treasure filled ship under tunnels full of booty traps, or replaced the Hoff as director of S.H.I.E.L.D!

Ouch mercedes! That's such a fear of mine. I had one woman once, so angry while combing my hair was she, that the tooth of the comb went into my scalp at the hairline and tore out a nice peice of skin. Blood, yes. Charged - you betcha. hahaha. Hairdressers.

This was my Halloween pumpkin, carved by my extremely talented husband. A Great White attacking an unsuspecting pumpkin.
