TV Burp used to be on Saturday afternoons if that helps at all. Genius show, regardless.

See, now Saturday's much better. I remember being a kid and hearing the 'Heartbeat' theme tune every Sunday evening. It will forever be associated with the dread of school the next morning.

Is this where I tell you that Ghosthunters arrived today?

Actually, I like Ghosthunters. "What's that sound?" "It's a faulty pipe." That, and they don't call each other "bro".

Ghost Hunters is a good show. I'm still convinced they staged the pulling of Grant's jacket during last year's live Halloween special, but in general, I'm not sure it's fake. The others are clearly bullshit.

But Ghost Hunters is pushing things a bit too far, in my opinion. The original show is fine, but Ghost Hunters International is largely a bunch of dummies. No charisma, can't speak in front of a camera properly, and they're annoying. And now...Ghost Hunters Academy? Pffft! I haven't watched the first episode yet, but...do we really need to watch them train a bunch of whiny college turds learning how to hunt ghosts?

In general? Like, do I believe in them? Yes and no. I believe in the possibility. I'm open to the possibility, and I've seen some compelling evidence, and I have the personal story of my eyes changing from bright blue to green overnight at two years old.

So yeah, I'd like to think there's something there. However, I'm not convinced enough to fully commit to one opinion.

I'm not convinced. I'd really like to believe that this isn't it, as far as life goes, but I just can't bring myself to believe in them. If I see it, I'll believe it. And programmes like Most Haunted and knobs like Acorah don't help the cause either. In my opinion.

Have you ever watched Ghost Hunters?

Ah, man, Andrew! I'm starting Ghost Hunters in 20 minutes! If only you could magically will yourself here.

They take a much calmer approach to it. They go in with the intention of debunking. Plus I like to see Steve's tattoos.

Here. You can watch some episodes online.

Hmmm...not even Ghost Hunters International? They do their stuff all over Europe. But they suck. Dude in charge basically says he thinks every place is haunted. Haha. And then when they debunk, there's no logic involved. "So the resident claims to hear rattling coming from the kitchen. Hmmm...well, there's nothing hanging about, no pots or pans or anything—but you know, there is a silverware drawer here that's pretty full. Back in 1942, there was a pretty significant earthquake in this area, so it's clearly on a fault line. I'm willing to bet that this rattling they hear is simply geological, not paranormal. So yeah, debunked!" Then they high-five. Pffft!

Here's some good stuff, though.

Too bad the YouTube quality is a lot lower than on TV.

I'll try the International ones when I'm back in the office tomorrow. Will check the Tube clip out now. Need to get myself a laptop when I'm staying in my little Harry Potter room in the week.

Ah man, speaking of high-fiving, I got a friend who's seriously getting back into that, ESPECIALLY when drunk. Not good.

Wow, probably not a good idea to have watched that clip whilst lying in the dark with headphones on, but I am impressed. That looks awesome. Will look for it on UK TV when I get home.

What's TAPS stand for, by the way?

Definitely a good show. And I'd like to think if this shit was staged, they'd have been outed by now. They're too popular and too many people are involved; someone would have blabbed by now, I think.

I do, however, question the one thing that happened in last year's live Halloween special. Just didn't look right to me, but maybe I'm being too harsh.

The Atlantic Paranormal Society. It was started in the early '90s (went by a different name then) by the two main dudes who do Ghost Hunters. This lends a ton of credibility to the show since it's only been airing since 2004.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Street Sharks! The only thing better than a air-breathing shark with legs is an air-breathing shark with legs AND a cut-off belly shirt.

Bummer, the Ghost Hunters International clips didn't work either. I'll have to check it out tomorrow night.

I am definitely intrigued though.

Praise Jesus, hallelujah!

It's already having an adverse effect, though. I'm the only one who works so late in my department, and last night, once everything had fallen silent, I started hearing banging down the corridor. I've heard this before, and the calm, sane, logical part of my brain knows that it is just pipes. AND a notice fell off the notice board behind me, a notice that was TACKED to the board. Both of these I ignored last night.

Now that I've watched the clips, you KNOW I'm gonna be thinking something different tonight when the pipes start again.

Thanks, guys. Much love.
