NEWBURY COMICS

Post by Guest on Sun Aug 30, 2009 10:47 pm

I put an order thru Amazon with these guys for some CDs. As far as I know, they haven't even shipped the items yet because I've never received any tracking/email notification of such a thing occurring. We're past the arrival estimate that Amazon gave to me and I've emailed Newbury asking if the item has even shipped and I've yet to hear a reply.

I'm having the exact same issue with another seller for an order I placed at the exact same time. I know my orders when through because they sure were quick to take the money out of my account!

If I don't hear something by 5PM tomorrow...

Weird. Newbury is pretty good with everything they do. Have you gone to their main site and sent an e-mail through there?

I ordered from them on Amazon (a two cd set) and got two copies of disc two. Doh!

They made it good immediately, though, so I can still say I recommend them highly.

No, I didn't because I first contacted Amazon about whether I'm supposed to receive any shipping notification. They pretty much gave me a stock reply telling me to go through the 'ordering issues' button or whatever that will go straight to the seller.

AHA! At least Newbury has responded today... They said they shipped it standard mail on 8/21 and that it usually takes 4-14 days to arrive. Ooookay.... U.S. mail isn't that slow.

I know they're based out of New England, so it just doesn't seem like it would take THAT long when CD Universe ships from CT and just last week it only took 2 days to get my order from them (usually it's 3), which they also shipped standard.

Watch me get both of my orders today though. Laughing I'm just anxious for my music!!!

I expect there will be a rather awesome happy dance when your orders come in?

I always get stuff the very day or day after I complain. Haha.

And they probably ship media mail, which can take a long time.

If I don't get both of my orders tomorrow, we go to war!

Tomorrow is the FINAL cut off from when I was told both sellers would have gotten the goods to me. I have a feeling neither one is showing up. Both claim they shipped them on August 21st. What, is the post office just holding them until the very last day? I highly doubt my orders have been in the shipping process for three whole weeks unless it was by Pony Express.

Funny thing is, I got an email from Amazon a few days ago asking me to go leave feedback on my latest orders. I'm like, " What orders? THEY AREN'T HERE YET!"

Yeah, that sucks. Bad sellers, then. Sort of like the SwapaCD cats that "mail" your package on a Saturday night. Yet when it's received, it's postmarked two weeks later.

Checked the mailbox today...

I've already emailed Newbury plus this other seller asking for a refund. Guess I'll have to continue to wait for Tyr, Forbidden and Cross Purposes...

That seems odd that two things wouldn't show up. You think someone could have jacked your stuff?

Ordered at the same time? Maybe delivered at the same time.

Would you like me to come exact revenge for you? Although you're probably plenty ticked off. Shall we do it together? Very Happy

Possibly... but one was coming from England. Newbury's must've traveled REALLY slow from CT to MI. They both claim they shipped them on 8/21.

Anyway, both contacted me and said I'd be getting a refund. Amazon has already alerted me to one refund going through. At least that part was easy, but I'm still pretty ticked off this happened to me TWICE simultaneously. I really want those albums.

I actually had a Netflix DVD from a month or two ago that never arrived. It showed up in my mailbox like 2 weeks later, envelope was damaged (someone actually used tape to seal it back up... did they watch it???), but the DVD was in fine condition. I'm hoping they'll show up at a later date, but I'm not holding my breath.

Are you still after BLACK SABBATH "Forbidden"? Let me know, I saw a copy at the shop today used and had them put it on my "hold" pile....

I'll try and pick it up over the weekend....

You got a trade fodder list?
