Anathema are one of the best finds I've had this summer after a friend leant me Judgement and A Natural Disaster. Watching them at Bloodstock festival a few weeks ago was utterly mind-blowing and I even got to meet them at the signing session afterwards, where I got my copy of Eternity autographed. They're also incredibly nice blokes as well as brilliant musicians.

SMASHED GLADYS, you need this one!!! This is the only video I found and it's not even much of one, but the song rules!!

Add 'em to your list, brother!!

My list is incomprehensibly large nowadays. Will have to look into Smashed Gladys at some point as that song was great!

I had no idea this even existed and am still slightly confused as to why the Manics covered Alice Cooper, but damn am I happy they did.

Hanoi Rocks' cover of the same song might of inspired them a bit in doing it........but then who isn't inspired by the Alice Cooper Group?

You know what else they covered.........

...my world has been redefined. Although I did know James Dean Bradfield was a bit of a whore for GN'R - you only have to listen to Generation Terrorists to figure that out, haha. Every band should have to cover 'It's So Easy' as an exam Razz

This live video was my first exposure to The Wildhearts nigh on two years ago. Brilliant live clip, with Devin Townsend on guitar (and a bit too high in the vocal mix, though he does sound surprisingly good) and Danny dislocating his knee mid song;

'Everlone' is a fucking great song.

Wicked! I've never seen this. I forgot Devin played guitar with them for a bit.

This song is probably one of the best Mustaine has ever written.

I am fully aware no one's paying attention to this thread any more, but I'm loving the self indulgence;

'Clerks' is one of my favourite films and this is one of the best songs from the soundtrack.

I check your thread....And I feel the pain of neglect on mine as well...but the self stroking is too good to pass up isn't it!?!?

I got to see Backyard Babies at a festival over summer, they're a great live band. If you liked 'Fuck Off And Die', you should check out their entire self-titled album - it's a great glam punk platter.

I always thought Freak Kitchen were criminally underrated. Great songwriting and amazing musicians, especially Mattias IA Eklundh (guitarist and singer).

Total 13 (1997) should be the first port of call for anyone new to the Babies, an incredible record. Sadly they've been on the slippery slop ever since imo. Peaked early as they'd say!

Then that's an album I thoroughly need to check out at some point. I know a few tracks off it, but don't know the thing in full.

Everything about that video is awesome. Everything.
