true.

EXPLORERS was cool, I saw it in the theatre back in the day.

It was a theatrical flop when released but did well on video and cable... Very Happy

Yeah, it's a childhood favorite. That scene above is awesome. Another favorite is Adventures in Babysitting. lol

I used to own Adventures in Babysitting! I watched it again last year and was all, "This is horrible! What a terrible movie!" Apparently I had no taste.

My childhood movies were The Dark Crystal, The Last Unicorn, The Pirate Movie, and a lot of other shows that started with the word "the".

Kristy MacNichol and Christopher Atkins....I've seen it several times although the last time was probably my senior year...I need to remedy that.

I have The Pirate Movie on DVD.

It kind of grew on me back in the 80's when HBO showed it five billion times.

I also have a soft spot for Grease 2.

Something about those cheesy 80's musicals just rings my bell. Laughing

"Kablam! Nucleoid War" could definitely grow on me.

I told my husband that you two knew The Pirate Movie, and he says you must be more cracked than he thought. He says this, but he's seen the thing a billion times through me. I had it on VHS, people! Woo!

OK, but just the Fred parts.

When will I find I love?
Where will she be,
And if she's out there will she wait for me?

Can I believe what I am seeing, what I am feeling
Something so rare, watching her there
She makes my heart stop.

I have just one question after singing that. Where, when and to whom do I turn in my man card? :perv:

Jameson, mind if I call you "Fredric without a 'k"? You're my hero. Seriously.

Sincerely,

Mercedes, also without a 'k'

Bwa ha. No, he likes who I like. I think he's glad that I can rant about serial killers to somebody besides him. He didn't even know who Albert Fish was, and Gein goes right over his head. You relieve him of trying to figure out who these people are.

So I dug out the DVD's and watched both The Pirate Movie and Grease 2 again the other day. It was cheesy 80's musical day at Shadow Manor.

The next day I made up for it by watching Creepshow and Creepshow 2. Very Happy
