The plane is a B-17G restored by the Collins Foundation and flown around the country for air shows. The actual plane was built in 1945 and didn't see service in WWII. But it was used to fight forest fires from 1966 until 1986 when the Collins Foundation acquired her. Before that it went through a thirteen year cool down period after being subjected to three nuclear bomb tests in the fifties.

The Collins Foundation restored the aircraft and named it the nine-0-nine which was a B-17G that saw service in the skies over Germany during WWII. The nine-0-nine flew 140 combat missions without a loss, which is believed to be a record for the Eight Air force. She was assigned to combat operations on February 25, 1944 where she flew eighteen of her 140 missions over Berlin and dropped 526,000lb of ordnance during its service. The original nine-0-nine was transferred to Kingman, Arizona after the war and eventually scrapped.

What can I say, my grandson and I are a couple of WWII buffs. salute

Nazi Zombies are way cooler than Kaiser zombies. That ludicrous mustache spoils the effect.

They didn't invent zombies till WWII. Would have been cool to have em in WWI. Imagine your stuck in a trench when around the corner comes a group of zombies. You either stay and fight them or take your chances up top where the entire German army is waiting for you. Lends new meaning to the phrase from the frying pan into the fire.

You look like that Andrew WK poster on the wall behind you, after you'd cleaned up, of course.

A certain member of the Shock Totem Extended Staff and I. I'll let him claim this pic if he wants it. But he's rocking my dress.
