Got the self-titled Sea Hags disc through SwapaCD today. Frickin' MINT, too! What a score for four dollars and some change.

I bought the debut album of Justin Hawkins' new band, Hot Leg. Being a big fan of The Darkness and general glam / hair metal, this CD is right up my street.

Man, I hated that guys voice. Great band, but I just couldn't stop giggling when he sang like a turkey. And not surprisingly, you take him out of the picture, and you've got gold.

Awesome.

Well if you didn't like The Darkness, you'll hate Hot Leg, haha. I actually love Justin Hawkins' vocals, as ridiculously over the top as they are. This is the album's opener, 'Chickens';

Good stuff, Alex!

I just hit up the used bin at the Newbury Comics near work. Got some great CDs, too.

Audrey Horne - No Hay Banda
Caravan - Suprise Supplies
Defender - They Came From Over The High Pass
Front, The - The Front
Hot Line - Melodic Hard Rock Force
Morifade - Domi-Nation
Pretty Maids - Red, Hot And Heavy
Shape Of The Rain - Shape Of The Rain (Reissue)
Sheavy - Celestial Hi-Fi
Starfire - Starfire (Reissue)
Talas - Talas
Warrant - Born Again

Picked a few up for the Shinester, too. I also snagged a few turds, which he'll get a whiff of.

Newbury Comics generally just seems like a great store for me - shame it doesn't exist over here in Blighty.

Yeah, it's a very cool store. They've got all kinds of crap: t-shirst, movies, posters, books, candy, toys, you name it. People are always in the store, too. Guess that's why when all the other chain stores are closing, Newbury Comics is opening mega stores.

What did you pick up for me?

And that THE FRONT cd is awesome...You now need to pick up BAKERS PINK...they released one cd in like 1993...It was essentially THE FRONT, but they changed their name...

The one I snagged specifically for you is Whitestarr's Fillith Tillith. Good CD. The others are...I forget. One is complete shit. I thought the title was High Rock, and it was written in that 80s style, but it was called High Risk and it's...terrible. It was only a buck, though.

Yeah, I've been looking for them cheap since rattpoison mentioned them ages ago. I think Bakers Pink is on SwapaCD, so if I dig this album I'll spend the fiver on BP.

Ditto on the pizza, plus a lavish lunch at that fancy place called Burger King.

I didn't spend the money, but The Other Half bought some shoes and clothes the other day.
