Naming Shock Totem

Post by Kenwood on Mon Feb 16, 2009 6:20 pm

So I stumbled across a file with a bunch of names we knocked around before settling on Shock Totem. We had a lot more than this, I think, but I this is all I have now. Some of these suggestions are so bad. Haha. Some make no sense, and others make me giggle. Purgastories? Laughing

Cool. I like(Shock Totem of course, but excluding it), Ink & Dagger, Blood Tells, Bleeding Pens(until I looked at it again and realized it wasn't Bleeding Penis), and Still Life.

Yes, I think it was Nick that pointed out how it almost looks like Bleeding Penis. That would be a horrifying title, though.

Dead Etiquette

This is awesome. It might show up in a story of mine somewhere, and we'll have a knock down, drag out fight over it! Hooray!

Um, I mean...mind if I maybe use this sometime?

I think that was a Shiney original. Don't quote me on that, though, since Shock Totem was also a Shiney original (that he stole).

If you cross-pollinate some of these you get some interesting titles too:

Plague Overture
Graveyard Stigmata
Crow Penis

Wait, that last one's a variant...possibly for a micro fiction zine.

DEAD ETIQUETTE is an original...

It was to be a band name at one time, then I quit doing the music thing...so I just jotted it in a notebook for safe keeping.

I was a singer....if you can call the high end wailing I did that.

I was in a hair/metal glam band in college. And a few odder metallic bands in the early 90's...I dropped out if around 1993...

Man, all we need is a bass player and we can have our own ST band.
